But at the same time, whenever my family bought McDonald's for dinner, I always ordered the Fish Filet sandwich. I don't know why, but I loved it! It was the only thing I ever wanted to eat. They eventually discontinued it and I was so sad. I don't think I have been back to McDonald's since!
Okay, that's a lie. I've been back. But everytime I go back I always remember that sandwich and wish, just once, I could order it again for old time sake.
Well, I just found out that it's back!

It's probably been back for a long time, but since I don't eat there anymore, I never realized it until now. Just looking at that picture brings back a flood of memories. I remember when my mom or an older sibling would pull that blue styrofoam container out of the sack and I immediately knew that it was mine! I could hardly wait!
I really, really want to go get one! But at the same time, I'm afraid that my tastes have probably changed in the past 22 years and I'll end up gagging on it. I don't want to gag on it. I want to always remember it as one of my very favorite things to eat. I'm afraid that if I try it again it just won't taste how I remember and my memory will forever be tarnished.
So what do I do?

They are my absolute favourite burger, and I definitely think you should have one. They are so good! They give me horrendous indigestion, but they are so worth it.
I can't believe they stopped selling them over there. We've had them this whole time.
Eat it and enjoy! :)
Glad the song that the kids were singing at work help inspire this blog post :) I don't think I've ever had one! And now I faintly remember they used to sell them, guess it was the nasty tarter sauce that kept me from wanting one....I however do like seafood!
You will have to try one....maybe while you're here! I'm sure we'll find a McD that sells one, I mean there are about 5 in a 10 minute drive from where I live (diff directions)!
Not sure if the "fish" in a Fish Filet can really be called seafood...I think its more along the lines of Krab. Which is probably why you like it...I say go get one take it home to and pour a glass of milk. That way if you don't like it you can pretend you made it instead of bought it.
Go for it! Their delish!
So, I had a slumber party with my sister and 5 of our nieces this weekend. Today we took the girls to McDonald's for lunch and I bought a Filet-o-Fish! I asked my nieces if I should get one because I didn't want to ruin my memories and my five year old niece yes, "I really think you should!" So I got it and it tasted just like I remembered! It brought back so many fun memories. After I ate it my same niece asked, "Did it ruin your memories?" How cute!
I'm so glad I bought it! :)
tartar sauce-y goodness... and yes, they've been back on the menu for a LONG LONG time :)
